Presentation Guidelines

Information on presentation, poster or software demonstration at BVM 2025

  • All presentations can be given in English or German.
  • Please refer to the conference program for the exact time of your presentation.

Presentations

  • Each presentation will have 12 minutes for the talk and 3 minutes for the discussion.
  • Presentation slides will be presented on the presentation computer in the lecture hall in PowerPoint or PDF format.
  • The presentation slides must be submitted online in good time before the presentation. The link for submission will be available here on the conference website at least one week before the conference.
  • You will have the opportunity to check your presentation slides on the presentation computer on site. Please use the break before your session at the latest.
  • Optional: To facilitate discussion after the presentations, lecture posters can also be created and presented. These posters must be printed in DIN-A0 portrait format and brought along. All lecture posters will be on display throughout the day on which the presentation takes place.
They should be up by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the lecture session, i.e. before the start of the lecture program. The poster boards are marked with the respective contribution number. Please stay close to your poster, especially during the break after your lecture session, to be available for discussions. Please remove your poster after the end of the program on the day of the lecture. Posters left behind will be recycled.

Posters

  • The posters have to be printed in DIN A0 portrait format and brought along.
  • All posters should be put up by 8:30 a.m. on Monday, i.e. before the start of the lecture program. The poster boards are labelled with the respective contribution number.
  • Please remove your poster after the end of the BVM on Tuesday. Posters left behind will be recycled.
  • In addition to the printed poster, a PDF of the poster must be submitted online in good time before the conference. The submission link will be available here on the conference website at least one week before the conference.
  • A poster session starts with a 30 second short presentation (1-2 sentences) by the author of the poster on a small stage in the foyer. The poster PDF will be displayed on a large monitor. The aim is merely to tease the topic, not to provide details! The order of the short presentations corresponds to that in the program booklet. After this intro, the author will stay at her or his poster during the poster session and will be available for discussion.

Software demonstration

  • The software demonstrations are integrated into the poster sessions.
  • A small table and a chair are available on which the hardware can be set up. A power connection (220V, 50Hz) is available.
  • According to the poster guidelines, please prepare a printed DIN A0 portrait format poster and a PDF of the poster to be submitted online. The software demonstrations will be teased together with the posters in a 30 second short presentation (1-2 sentences).
  • If you require further assistance, please contact the conference secretariat.

We look forward to your contributions and participation!
